Anna “Anne” Pauline Bay, 35, of Boulder, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly at her home on May 9, 2015. Anne was born on July 9, 1979, to Paul and Judy Bay and grew up in Boulder. She faced many difficult challenges in her life with a determined spirit. Anne graduated from Boulder High School in 1998 and went on to increasing independence, often pushing her boundaries. She particularly loved the outdoors, where she and her family enjoyed hiking and she could often be seen on Boulder and Denver bike paths riding with her father on their tandem bike. Visual impairment did not hold Anne back from expanding her experiences. In recent years, with the assistance of the Therapeutic Riding Center, she worked to overcome a childhood fear of horses to form a passionate connection to horses and riding — a passion she loved to share with other people. She also loved music of all kinds, musicals and ballet performances at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, movies, Disneyland, and even a parachute jump – experiences that pushed her limits. Anne will be remembered for her determined and adventurous spirit, her effort to always do her best, her love of exciting experiences, her skills in listening and remembering, her meticulous approach to life and also her bravery. Rest in peace, Anne – no more limits. She is survived by her parents, her sister Katherine and the love of her life, Austin.
There will be a celebration of her life at Crist Mortuary on May 23 at 10 a.m. As Anne would want, please dress casually.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in memory of Anne, to a program she loved: Horse + Human Project, P.O. Box 1048, Nederland, Colorado, attn. Suzanne Forrester. For more information please visit: www.horsehuman.com
