Catherine I. Anglen

Catherine (Katie) Isabelle Anglen, 86, of Broomfield (previously Boulder), died September 10, 2012.

Catherine was born February 20, 1926 in Denver to John and Edith Jones McCormack of Agate. After high school graduation she married Thomas Leroy (Lee) Anglen in Eaton CO on October 1, 1945. They made their home in Eaton and Fort Collins before moving to Boulder in 1952 where, together, they had a successful shoe and leather repair businesses On The Hill in Boulder.

Preceded in death by her husband in 1982, she is survived by one son Michael (wife Valerie) of Aurora CO; two granddaughters: Sunshyne Mason (husband Jim) of Arnprior, Ontario; Tahverlee Dunlop (husband Paul) of Aurora, CO; four great-grandchildren - Allyson and Ethan Mason, Joshua and Hannah Mills and one great-great-granddaughter, Aubrey Mason; as well as two sisters Morva Hewitt (husband Leon-deceased) of Broomfield, and Joan McLean (husband Glenn) of Boulder. The family wishes to thank Sunrise Assisted Living, Westminster, and Agape Hospice, Denver for their loving care and support for the family. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Crist Mortuary. A reception will immediately follow the service, also at Crist Mortuary. I am so sorry to hear of the death of your mother. What a talented woman. She could do every thing. All kinds of cooking, needle work of all kinds, sports, and a kind and generous hostess. One of those dinners at their place was like a family reunion. Would be nice to see all those people again.
