Doc it has been awhile. Still miss you! I miss your silly grin, your compassion, and how you loved to make me cry. In a silly way. What I wouldn't give to have you back. Overall I know you are in a happy place. Hopefully the family has come to peace. See you soon!

I will forever miss Dr. G, as I called him. He is one of the best people I have ever known, because he genuinely cared about the whole person. We met in 2005 when I became one of his patients. He is the best chiropractor I've ever had! I wasn't just a name or someone filling a time slot. He always showed me exercises I could do to strengthen or relieve a problem. He actually listened while giving adjustments and "supportive care". He is simply irreplaceable! He is/was the gold standard as a person and doctor.

To his family and close friends: please never stop talking about him even when it is painful. His children especially need this. I know this, because my dad "graduated" from this life when I was quite young. I know it was painful for my mom to talk about my dad, but I wish she could have given me more information at a younger age. I think my grandparents and extended family were afraid they might upset me. Kids are more resilient than we think.

We can’t express adequately how saddened we are about Dr. Darin’s passing. There are no words. But celebrating his life and love to those of us who had the privilege to know him seems right.  We are so grateful he became part of our story about 5 years ago, and he was an actual “God send”!  I had asked the Lord to send “the right Chiropractor “ into my life because I was in a lot of pain and our insurance did not cover chiropractic. But we own a painting business and were praying for someone who could exchange treatments for our painting and remodeling services. The next day, Dr. D reached out to us for an office painting estimate, (we had painted for his mother and she referred us!) I was so delighted who God picked to heal my pain, and he certainly did! What an amazing blessing Darin was and is… he is greatly missed.

It was an honor knowing and working with Darin. A great friend, exceptional and compassionate practitioner, fun to golf with, and an unbelievable skier.   An enormous loss for his family and all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

I just found out this great man has left us and am not even sure how to comprehend this. I visited him many times and always felt like home and always left feeling way better, physically and emotionally. Always a great experience. The one thing I always remember was one time he went to adjust my neck and nothing happened and I told him I think you whiffed just like you whiffed a nine iron golfing. We laughed so hard he actually had to sit down. Rest in peace my friend you will be missed by many. Thank you for everything.

I started going to this clinic after I was in a car accident in 1991 and Dr. Frueden treated me and then after Dr. decided not to practice anymore, I started seeing Dr. Gillette.  Several of my family members went to him and it broke our hearts to find out he was suffering from cancer.  I prayed and prayed for him and for a full recovery.  We just heard from a friend that he had passed and are so saddened to hear this news.  He was such a great Dr, friend, excellent at what he did both as a Dr and his personality.  My daughter's boys were right at the same ages as his boys so they would always compare the kids.  
Please know that Asia and the boys are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear the news about Dr. Darren. 
He put me back together more times then I can count. As a former iorn worker I am very grateful  for him. My daughters would see him during club volleyball season and referred to him as doctor magic fingers.  He was easy to talk to and to feel comfortable with. My condolences to his wife and boys. 

The deepest heartfelt condolences to the families. My bestest doc is in a place where he is in no pain. I am happy for you doc but so sad for those of us left behind. May The Peace of Lord Jesus be with all families and The Holy Spirit comfort all. 🙏🙏🙏❤️

I personally only knew Darin professionally but his kindness was what I remember most. In the short time you were in his treatment room he listened & encouraged. My heart goes out to all of his family, friends & colleagues. Rest in peace Doc. ❣️

In the early 2000s I first heard of Dr. Darin Gillett from three different people within the span of 6 weeks.  None of them knew each other but they all knew Darin. They suggested I might want to meet with him as he was looking to relocate his practice, Optimal Chiropractic. While my partner and I were not considering this at the time, it seemed too much of a coincidence for us to ignore.  After meeting Darin it became obvious why he was held in such high regard.  Arrangements were made for him to move his practice to our clinic.  He fit in superbly with our staff and his practice flourished. This picture was taken prior to a Christmas lunch, a long standing tradition at our clinic,  which he happily took part in since joining us. 
As my partner and I reached the point of winding down our practice 
we discussed selling our building to Darin.  Ultimately this happened and he became the new owner. The experiences my partner and I, as 
well as our staff, had with Darin over a decade made all of us feel the 
clinic was in good hands.  It was enjoyable seeing how much Darin's 
patients loved him and how much comfort and healing he gave them.  All of us will miss his smile and upbeat personality.  He had a way of brightening a room by his presence.  Rest in peace my friend and colleague.

Darin is our niece Asia’s husband and one of the most gentle souls we have ever known. It’s hard to understand his loss and it doesn’t seem fair when we lose special, smart and kind-hearted people, who like Darin, made this world a better place. Our entire family was shocked when we heard of Darin’s diagnosis, but we kept hoping that our constant prayers would somehow change the course of his disease for the better. 
            
Our hearts go out to Darin’s entire family and friends … and as I get goosebumps writing this, we all know that Darin is no longer suffering with unbearable pain and he is in a place where he can still make a difference and will continue to influence his wonderful sons, Blake and Max – and be there in spirit for his loving wife Asia.

A visit to Colorado after moving to Florida. 1997, I think. 

I am so shocked and sadden for the loss of  Darin.  My middle school and high school experience was shaped by the  friendships of this lovely human!  Walking home from the bus, algebra homework, just hanging out day after day.  I’m flooded with the best memories.  So much laughter was had! My love and prayers to his family.    Please let me know if I can do anything!
