Dorothy Jean (Raybuck) Shindledecker of Boulder, CO passed away peacefully on June 16, 2022. She was 104. Dorothy was born on April 25, 1918 to George Raybuck and Dorothy Hetrick in Jefferson County, PA. Dorothy married Clyde Shindledecker on June 26, 1937 and they had two daughters, Jennie Pavick and Nancy Zelt. After growing up in PA, they spent time living in Elgin, IL and Colorado Springs, before settling in Boulder, CO. She loved her job working as a nurses aide and had many hobbies such as Indian bead work, collecting unique stones, leather crafting and crocheting blankets for donation as well as for family. She was a big Denver Broncos fan and loved to spend her Sunday afternoons watching her Broncos. She always had a story to tell about her favorite player, Lyle Alzado. In addition to their daughters, Dorothy and Clyde had seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Clyde, daughters Nancy and Jennie, her sister, Edna Orr and brother, Ben Raybuck. Her brother Joe Raybuck survives along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Monday, June 27, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose PL., Boulder, CO 80301.
A committal service will then occur Monday, June 27, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:20 AM at Mountain View Memorial Park, 3016 Kalmia Ave, Boulder, CO 80301.
