

Elizabeth “Betsy” Herczeg passed away suddenly on October 22, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Betsy was a vibrant and loving mother and wife who possessed a spiritual intuition and connection with God. She loved to talk and connect with people bringing out their best and easing their troubles. She possessed a deep and committed love for her children and husband. Betsy held a special place in her heart for all children and acted as their guardian and teacher. She loved listening and talking to them and they felt the same about her. Betsy loved to swim, ice skate, cook, go out for dinner or lunch, watch funny movies and be in nature with her family. She was a sweetheart who was smart, witty and thrived on having fun with family and good friends at parties and holidays. Betsy courageously fought Multiple Sclerosis with all her soul never giving into the illness. She was her husband, John’s, best friend, coach, cheerleader and lover. She is survived by her loving husband, John; children Carrie and Jacob; sister Carolyn (Fred) Peterson; and many other relatives and friends. Betsy’s beauty, grace and spiritual faith will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation is being held Saturday, October 26, 5 – 8pm at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, Colorado. Funeral Service on Sunday, October 27, 9am at Crist Mortuary.
