Elizabeth Nash Mezo

Elizabeth Ida Mezo was born December 26, 1933 in Westmoreland County, Virginia to Eleazer Raymond Nash and Elva Hennage Nash. She was one of nine sisters and brothers, residing in the middle of four younger and four older. She attended William & Mary College, then worked at Reynolds company in Richmond, VA. Later she moved to Rockville, Maryland and was employed by Defense Electronics. Sher met her husband Peter Mezo in the fall of 1966 and married the following year on May 6, 1967. They had three children two whom survived, Nancy and Michael. After working for Defense Electronics both she and her husband were employed by IBM in Rockville, Maryland. Nancy worked for IBM and then left IBM to stay home and raise their children for the next eight years. After that she worked for various companies, including the last one was Pfizer in Boulder, CO until her retirement at age 62. Her husband was relocated with IBM from Maryland to Virginia then to California then to Colorado, where her husband Pete retired. Elizabeth and her husband Pete did extensive traveling for vacation throughout the US, and also travelling to Canada, Europe and South America. In January 2020 she broker her leg and after that she was battling various ailments until she was called by the Lord to a better place on October 8, 2025 at age 91. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family.

Celebration of Life services will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Crist Mortuary Chapel.
