

Eva Jane Watson West, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Boulder County, Colorado. Born on September 10, 1934, in Arkansas, Eva moved with her family to Iowa Park, Texas at the age of two. It was there, at just fifteen years old, that she met the love of her life, Boyd West. They married on November 3, 1951, beginning a lifelong journey together that spanned 73 devoted years.
Eva and Boyd’s life together took them across several states—Texas, New Mexico, Mississippi, Utah, Oklahoma, Oregon, Idaho, and ultimately Colorado—where they built a home rooted in faith, family, and community. In 1963, they settled in Boulder, where they raised two daughters and became active members of their local church. Eva’s deep commitment to her faith began at age 14 when she accepted Christ as her Savior, She was a devoted member of churches throughout her marriage and her final years of life she was a member Grace Commons Church in Boulder, CO.
In 1973, Eva launched a successful career in real estate, becoming one of the original agents to open RE/MAX of Boulder. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to found West Properties, where she worked alongside her daughter Jana beginning in 1995. Eva was known for her integrity, warmth, and dedication to helping others find their homes.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Jewel Watson; her brother, Hoyt Watson; her son, Ronald West; and her daughter, Jana Ringener. She is survived by her loving husband Boyd West of Boulder; her daughter Cheryl West of Loveland, CO; her son-in-law Craig Ringener of Louisville, CO and his extended family of Sterling, CO; as well as the families of a niece and two nephews.
Eva will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her generous hospitality, and the joy she brought to gatherings with the Prospectors, Mariners, and dear friends from Grace Commons. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, strength, and grace.
