Fred met his wife to be, Kathy, in January 1967 when he was stationed at Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming and she was attending, what was then, Colorado State College in Greeley, Colorado. They were married on October 11, 1967, in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Fred served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. He served as a military police officer at Warren Air Force Base until he was transferred to Udorn Air Force Base in Thailand during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1969.
Fred worked as a sergeant at the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office for over 10 years prior to becoming a Chemical Operator at Syntex (Roche) Pharmaceutical Company. He retired there after 20 years.
Fred will be fondly remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, his caring, generous heart, and his deep love for his family. Most recently he enjoyed visiting and talking with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His favorite “title” was Grandpa, Gramps, and Bumpa!
