

Gerald "Jerry" Raymond Scofield II, long-time resident of Boulder, Colorado, died of natural causes on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, California. Jerry was born June 2, 1945 in Denver, CO and was raised in Boulder by his parents June Rose and Gerald Raymond Scofield Sr. Jerry graduated from Boulder High in 1963 where he played basketball and participated in track and field. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business in 1968 from the University of Colorado in Boulder
where he was an avid Buff fan and season ticket holder for CU football games. Jerry worked for IBM for over a dozen years where he received many awards. Jerry lived most of his life in Boulder until 1995, when he moved to Orange County California to form Medi-Net, a medical sales and services organization from which he retired in 2008. Survivors include
his son, Scott (Sophia), now living in Belgium; his daughter Kristen (Scott) of Orange County, California; six grand children
(Skylar, Sage, Scarlett, Reese, Brennan and Jacob); and his sister Mary Rose (Dan) Cartwright of Whitwell, Tenn. Jerry is preceded in death by his mother and father. Jerry loved hunting, fishing and going to CU football and basketball games.
A public visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning, September 28, 2013, at the Chapel located at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, CO. A funeral service will immediately follow with Reverend John Hess officiating, please wear casual attire.
