Greg Alan Thorne

Greg Thorne of Erie, CO passed away on August 29, 2010, in Boulder, CO. Greg was born on April 8, 1958, in Garden City, KS, to Donald Matthew Thorne and Ernestine (Barber) Thorne. On September 1, 1984, Greg married Kathleen (Burton) Thorne in Boulder, CO.

Greg had a 30 year career in electronic technology, primarily at Rocky Flats and then HID Global.

Greg is survived by his wife, Kathleen and daughter Nikki, both of Erie, CO; his sisters, Sherry (Randy) Leiker of Hays, KS, and Gayle (Rick) Johnson of Stillwater, OK; mother, Ernestine “Ernie” Thorne of Hays, KS; five nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Annette (Ron) Martin of Lincoln, NE, and mother-in-law, Patricia Burton of Topeka, KS. Greg is preceded in death by his father, Donald Thorne who entered eternal rest on June 21, 2001.

A Memorial Service will be held at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, CO, on Friday, September 3, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Nature Conservancy, 2424 Spruce Street, Boulder, CO 80302, or a charity of choice.
