Margaret “Peg” (Gehman) Hersh, age 93, passed away on Saturday January 13th in Boulder, Colorado. She was born January 22,1924 in Catasauqua, PA. She graduated from Quakertown High School and married Henry D. Hersh. During World War II, Peg served as a military chauffer at Convair Field in Allentown, PA and worked in the Allentown Hospital administration until retirement. She moved to Denver, Colorado in early 1980s where she and her family opened and operated Acappella’s restaurant. Peg is survived by sons, Daniel (Judith) and John (Joni); grandsons, Matthew (Tanya) and Jack; great-grandchildren, Hazel and Hans; brother, Robert “Butch” Gehman (Carolyn); nieces, Margaret “Peggy” Albee Vance, Ardda Hersh, Kyle Hersh; and nephews, Robert Albee Jr, and David Hersh. She is preceded in death by husband, Henry; parents, Robert and Erma Gehman; sister, Evelyn (Gehman) Albee and nephew, Bruce Hersh. Peg was loved by family and friends for her generous spirit and loving heart and will be greatly missed. Private memorial will be held at a later date.
