Dear Marion and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Howie. He was a great guy and I had the pleasure of working with him on many storage industry initiatives through the years. The relationships so many of us had with Howie was special and he clearly touched so many people in his professional career. Those memories will live on forever and we all will always have those wonderful memories of times together. My prayers are with you and your family at this time.

I will miss his enthusiastic teaching style and willingness to help educate people. And more specifically his help to me when I was first starting out in the storage arena. First met Howie at SNIA about a decade ago, and just discovered the sad news this week in Santa Clara at SNIA. I will miss him.

Howard was a true teacher, friendly to all and a scholar of scholars. I had the privilage of meeting Howard during my training courses at HDS. He really helped jump start my career as a storage system engineer. I still use the skills he taught.
I'll miss you Howard thank you for your kindness a contributions to society to make this life better.

Dear Marion,

My deepest sympathies to you and the Goldstein family. I met Howie years ago in Boston with his brother. I closely worked with Howie for two years at SNIA. He was passionate about training people and he was passionate about his booth. Howie was an excellent trainer and I will miss him. He called me out of the blue one day to ask how was I doing. We talked about old times and his CompTIA training plans. I will miss Howie.

I have a million Howie stories, some of them even true. Think I remember most about him was one SNW when he videotaped my SNIA Tutorial (green data center) and patiently walked me through the video from a set of notes he had prepared. Must
have taken him hours to prepare, not a dime charged, and some very helpful stuff. Best to his family; there are a lot of savvy storage networking people out there because of his work. Rest in peace.

Dear Marion,

The loss of Howie is felt far and wide. I knew Howie through our work at Storage Decisions conferences over the past many years and more recently, our work this past year with SNIA & CompTIA. My thoughts are with you and your family.
