Jack Norton Brown Jr.

**November 28, 1937 – July 18, 2026**

Jack N. Brown Jr., age 88, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, in Longmont, Colorado. He was born on November 28, 1937, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Jack lived a life defined by service, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his family and career. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Captain before receiving an honorable discharge.

In 1960, Jack graduated from Louisiana Tech University, beginning a remarkable journey of professional success. He devoted an extraordinary 33-year career to IBM, where he served as an executive and earned the respect and admiration of colleagues through his leadership, integrity, and vision. With IBM he had the opportunity to travel to many countries throughout the world, and this love of travel he passed onto his family.

On April 29, 1961, Jack married the love of his life, Martha Sue Pratt. Together they built a beautiful life rooted in faith, love, and family, sharing 65 wonderful years of marriage. Their enduring partnership was an inspiration to all who knew them. He also enjoyed playing golf  and the friends that he made at Boulder Country Club and fly fishing.

Jack's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Martha Sue Brown; his daughter, Deborah Brown; his son, Robert Brown, and daughter-in-law, Robin Brown; and his cherished grandsons, Christopher Parks and Jonathan Parks. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held at **2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Boulder Country Club**.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the charity of one's choice.

Jack will be remembered for his strength of character, generous spirit, steadfast leadership, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy of service, hard work, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
