Jacob Ruiz Esparza, 33, of Boulder, CO passed away December 28, 2012. The son of Francisco Ruiz and Althea Martinez, he was born in Denver, CO. He graduated from Boulder High School in 1997 and continued college at Metro State. Jacob moved to Arizona in 1999 and returned to Colorado in 2010. Jacob enjoyed watching football, playing soccer and lacrosse. He was a devoted son, grandson, brother, uncle, and godfather. Jacob was a caring person who always took care of his family and friends and no matter what he always had a unforgettable beautiful smile on his face. Jacob is survived by parents Althea Martinez and Francisco Ruiz; brother Gerald Esparza; sister Rhiannon Esparza; grandmother Francisca Ruiz; niece Harmony; godson Frankie Jr. Visitation and Rosary will be held at Crist Mortuary on Wednesday, January 2, at 5:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus on Thursday, January 3 at 10:00 am, with burial following at Mountain View Memorial Park.
