Rest in Peace, Jimmy. Our hearts are saddened and go out to Marie and the Kids.

The Wood family has been a fixture in my life for all of my life and Jimmy was a pillar.  I cannot begin to count the memories that are always close to me but have been especially so now.  We are thinking of all of you.

It is wonderful he shared his love, and Jimmy was a beloved person.

I just heard about James.  I will miss him a lot. I'll be home Sunday and stop by to say, "Hi".

I am very moved to read the tribute to Jim, and to be able to add a few words in memoriam. We played music  back in the mid-1970s, together with Dave Morton and John Kaakinenen in what we called the Boulder Folk Dance Orchestra. I remember talks in the car going to and from gigs and good times playing for a room full of dancers--both in the folk dance community and for Serbian and Greek events. 

Though I was still a high-school kid and JIm was an advertising man and publisher of Boulder Daily Doings in his mid-50s, our rapport on and off the bandstand was easy, genuine, and memorable. The line about his love of family and being a gentleman's gentleman rings true and  I look forward to playing for the next dance line: it will surely be in his memory. Farewell, friend.

I will never forget what a wonderful, kind and bright man Mr. Wood was. He loved his lovely family with all he was and supported them with dedication and determination. My sympathies are with his remarkable family with all of the love in my heart.
