I was so sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. My heart goes out to Gretchen and all of the family.
Jeff and I had many great adventures doing Urban design projects together. We traveled to several cities back east such as High Point, NC , Wilmington NC, Frederick, MD, and Baton Rouge LA. I'm sure there were others but I can't recall the names. What I can remember is how much I learned from Jeff during our charrettes and how great he was to work with. He was a good listener and a sound thinker. He was also a pretty good fisherman. We had a few (too few) of those adventures as well...

I have always loved our Winston relatives, and wish that we had had more opportunities to spend time together. Since Jeff is older than I, I didn't get to know him as well as Dave and Suzy, but Jeff had a way of making each of us feel important, as he asked questions about our lives, and listened intently as we shared. I was grateful to be able to attend the Zoom funeral , to learn from Jeff's example and see the wonderful family you, Gretchen, and Jeff have raised together. I hope you feel the peace and comfort from the love and prayers of many as you miss your kind husband, father and grandfather.

Gretchen and Family, Growing up as one of the many Brandley cousins was a special treat. All of the girl cousins who were close to Jeff's age thought Jeff was a Superman (or boy ). He was friendly, clever and oh so good looking. We all loved our family get togethers which didn't happen often enough as we all moved to different parts of the country.

The funeral - allowing us to see the many remarkable qualities of Jeff as a mature man, was such a fitting tribute to a Spiritual giant and a loving husband, father and grandfather. May the comfort of the Spirit be with you all as you miss him.

My friendship with Jeff goes back about 14 years ago when I moved to Boulder, Colorado for work. He was one of the first people I met in the Boulder Ward congregation and we became fast friends. We rode bicycles, played racquetball and even fly fished together. As a married man living and working away from my wife and home, Jeff and Gretchen took me into their lives and home offering me an amazing friendship for six years. Jeff was a friend extraordinaire, always upbeat and positive. His personality and demeanor were as I envision the Savior to be, full of caring and charity. I will miss my friend Jeff and my interactions with him and that last fishing trip we were planning.

Jeff was one of the finest people I have known. He was kind to my children, his friends and loved his family and church. He was nonjudgemental of all and lived to by example to send his message, Having spoken with him recently by phone, but not seen him since his return from France due to CV precaution and am sad for missing time with him and Gretchen. I shared playing sports, bicycling, discussion of planning, religion. and so many ideas with him and his friends.

There is a deep hole in our hearts. My deepest sympathy and condolences to all who knew and loved him. His spirit will live on in our hearts for the rest of our lives. His positive vision and actions were remarkable.

I have such fond memories of Jeff from our mission days in France 52 years ago. He was truly a fine example for the rest of us, especially during his time as an Assistant to the President if the French Mission. He will be missed deeply by many.
