Jerome "Jerry" A. Papania

Jerome Anton (Jerry) Papania of Lafayette, CO. passed away June 3, 2018. Jerry was born in Hempstead, NY. on December 12, 1950 to Ralph and Helen (Grasso) Papania. Jerry also lived in West Chester, PA and Kent, OH. He graduated with his Bachelor's degree from Kent State University, OH. and also earned his Master's degree from Villanova University, PA. Jerry was employed at Nelnet in Aurora, CO. He also worked for Chester County Prison in PA. Jerry married Lee (Morrow) on Oct. 25, 1980 in West Chester, PA.

Jerry's kind, generous heart overflowed on June 3, 2018. He was one of the GOOD GUYS. He is loved by family, friends, colleagues and all that he met. Everyone felt special with him.

In laws, nieces, nephews and friends usually laughed at his silly jokes and the kids caught their first fish with him and they almost believed his "Jerry Fables".

His sense of humor and his wife/best friend helped him through many rough years. He was usually on his best behavior with doctors, nurses and the caregivers who loved him.

Jerry attended Kent State University in the 1970's and pursued a career in counseling and corporate training. His insight and wisdom was valued by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Lee Papania, his father Ralph Papania, sisters; Caroline (Gym) Street and Analisa (Kent) Somers. He is survived by James Morrison as well. He is also survived by his devoted and beloved dog Gracie.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother Helen Papania, sister Jadine Morrison and brother Ralph Papania Jr.

Services for Jerry will be held at East Boulder Baptist Church June 9, 2018 at 10am. 7690 E. Baseline Rd. Boulder, CO. 80303.

Interment will take place at Mountain View Memorial Park.
