I miss you so much, Joanna. You were a true friend and such an inspiration. I treasure the hours we had together enjoying each other's company and the beauty of the land. Thank you for teaching me so much. Your caring and knowledge have helped innumerable inhabitants of this place learn about their history, and the preciousness of our natural home, this amazing legacy.  I promise to take you, and our companions, along the trails I walk, and give you bouquets from my                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        heart whenever I remember your smile.

Joanna was a dear friend and will be missed greatly.  Those that knew her will remember her passion for local history and continued desire to share this information with all of us.  I will forever grateful for her friendship.  May God's love give her family strength during this time of sorrow.
