Karen was born in Westpoint, NY on November 13, 1955 to Frank and Claire Zoller. She graduated from Hendricks Hudson High School in 1973 and received her Associates Degree from Bennett College in 1975. Karen worked as an executive assistant for over 40 years, until her first AML diagnosis in 2016. Having lived in Colorado for more than 35 years, Karen was an avid biker, skier, and hiker who enjoyed spending her time outdoors and soaking up the sun. She loved reading, classic rock, bright colors, the occasional moscow mule, and being with family. Karen was a survivor and an inspiration to all those around her - especially her children. She persevered through physical and emotional challenges with grace, good humor, and positivity until the end. Colorado service will be held Sunday, May 5 from 3 to 6 PM at Boettcher mansion Golden Colorado. New York’s service will be held end of July, more information to come. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a GoFundMe account that will be used to resource a foundation in Karen’s name that will provide aid to AML patients and their families.
