Kati Pressman, a resident of Boulder since 1991, died peacefully on July 10 at the age of 91. She was a much loved friend to many in the Boulder community. Kati was a nurse, improvisational actress, Feldenkrais practitioner, artist, cartoonist, and writer and was a member of the Jewish Renewal Community of Boulder and the Insight Meditation Community of Colorado. Born Kala Rawich in Chicago, she spent her early childhood on a farm in Nicholasville, Kentucky then returned to Chicago where she graduated from Tuley High School and completed RN training at Mt. Sinai Hospital. In Colorado she received a BA in Creative Arts from Loretto Heights College, an MA in Speech and Communication from University of Colorado. She completed Feldenkrais training in Sydney, Australia. Kati self published several books, The ABC’s of Spirituality, Shabbos Candles, Simple Presence, On Assignment for My Soul, Epitaphs To Die For. Kati is survived by her three children Paul Rosenberg, David Rosenberg and Hyla Rosenberg whom she called “my highest and best creative act”. A memorial service is scheduled for August 5 at 6:45pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder.
