Laurie was born May 6, 1960 in Boulder, CO to Melvin & Cecelia (Cook). She was self-employed and belonged to both the WIBC and CWBC for several years. Laurie liked to clean houses because she could take a mess and turn it bright & shiny (sparkly). She loved the idea of family – once she met you, you were an integral part of her family for good! She was always the charming one in the trio of Olsen girls and was gregarious, giving and gentle. Laurie was an officer and a member of the BVWBA and the CWBA. She was a good bowler to boot. She was born in Boulder, but our father’s family hailed from Grand County and our mother’s from Weld, Boulder and Fremont Counties. Laurie was the most patient person. Many of her bowling colleagues said they appreciated how much she helped them to succeed. We are most grateful to Andrea and Tristan, the angels that pose as ICU RN’s at Exempla Good Samaritan in Lafayette.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, 9/7, 10am at Crist Mortuary, Boulder, CO.
