

illness, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her family home. Lois was born to
Johnnie Charles and Ira Mae Ingram on February 22, 1954, in San Diego, California. She was
the second oldest child, with two sisters, Brenda Ingram-Lyle and Mary Ann Ingram, and three
brothers, Douglas Johnson, Johnny, Jr., and Eugene Ingram. She was proceeded in death by her father, Johnnie Ingram and two brothers, Douglas Johnson and Eugene Ingram.
Lois leaves her mother, Ira Mae Ingram, two daughters, Demetria Ross and Shalanda Ingram and
one granddaughter, Reina Ross. Three nieces, L’Shawn Howard, Nanette Cropp, Shanika
Ingram; six nephews, Cameron Lyle, Eric Ingram, Anthony Ingram, Jamathan Lyle, Jesse
Johnson, and Derrick Ingram. She also, leaves a host of cousins, aunts, great nieces and
nephews, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her.
Lois graduated from Huntington Park High School in California in the 1970s. Although she was
born in San Diego, California, she spent most of her life in Los Angeles. She also lived in
Sacramento, California. Lois retired from the United States Post Office where she worked for
twenty-five years with distinction. She received numerous honors for her outstanding work as a
valued and trusted employee and Union representative.
Lois loved life, she met every challenge with a smile and shone brightly through all her
challenges. She loved her children, grandchild and family. She was loyal, dedicated,
compassionate and highly intelligent. She excelled at every task she undertook. She loved
playing her games, going to the casinos to play her slot machines, and she loved her long time
companion dog, Little J.
Lois touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her
trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a
memorial service on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Crist Mortuary Chapel beginning at 12
noon to 2:00 pm. The interment will be held immediately after the services at Mountain View
Cemetery. The family invites you to join them for dinner at The Family Learning Center after the
services, 3164 34 th Street, Boulder . All donations in lieu of flowers are requested to be sent to The Family Learning Center, 3164 34 th Street Boulder Colorado and/or BCAP, 2118 14th Street
