Born on January 28, 1945, in Santa Monica, California, to Harold and Margaret Eddy, she later moved to Boulder County as a young girl, where her father farmed. Lorna married Gary Jens, with whom she had two sons, Ken and Brian. She dedicated herself full-time to raising her boys to love and serve Jesus Christ.
After her divorce from Gary, she became a caregiver at a senior assisted living facility, finding joy in caring for others. Having survived breast cancer, she later moved to Longmont, CO, with her mother, where she met and married Dallas Rhodes. She loved gardening and often displayed her many flowers. Known for her sweetness, caring nature, and friendliness, she enjoyed chatting with everyone she met.
Lorna loved spending time at her parents' cabin in Red Feather Lakes, CO. A true servant at heart, she delighted in sharing the love of Jesus with others. Music played a significant role in her life—she loved playing the piano, singing, or humming worship songs.
She is survived by her sister Darlene Lewis, brother Ron Eddy (Tuni), sons Ken (Renee) Jens, and Brian (Jeannie) Jens, and grandchildren Kaelyn, Amanda, Isabel, Madeline, and Gabriel Jens. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Margaret Eddy, and her husband Dallas Rhodes.
A memorial service will be held at Life Church North Denver on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 10 am, followed by a reception.
Lorna was a resident of Westminster, Colorado.
