Lou Hutchinson’s death followed a prolonged struggle with a degenerative neurological disease called Progressive Supra Nuclear Palsy (PSP). Special thank you to the Frasier Meadows Community, Homewatch Care Givers and Hospice of Boulder County for the care and comfort they provided to Lou and her family throughout her illness.
Thankfully, Lou is now at peace and will suffer no longer.
Lou led a long and full life before her illness. She was devoted to her parents, sister, brother and husband, all of whom preceded her in death. They were equally devoted to their “Doll Baby”, as they fondly called her. Lou was born, raised, and brought up her family on Mapleton Hill in Boulder, graduated from CU in Boulder, served as a docent at the Denver Art Museum, and traveled the world with her husband, T. Henry Hutchinson.
Lou’s children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews survive her with their memories of a kind and generous woman. She was a gracious and beautiful lady; intelligent, well-read and a joy to be around. The love Lou felt for her family will live on through them.
Services will be private.
Family requests that donations be made to either CurePSP, 11350 McCormick Rd, Hunt Valley, Maryland 21031, or the Boulder County Hospice, 2594 Trailridge Drive East, Lafayette, CO 80026.
Arrangements under the direction of Crist Mortuary, Boulder, CO.
