

Lucille worked as a Secretary and Administrative Assistant for nearly 40 years. These years included the Dept. of the Army and the VA Hospital in WI, three Air Force Bases in Texas, the Parker Pen Company, and a Law Firm in WI, and the Dept. of Commerce in Colorado. While the children were young, she worked in her home typing manuscripts for Publishing Companies and theses and dissertations for college students.
She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Ladies of the Elks, Sons of Norway, Beta Sigma Phi, serving on the Board of all and was President of her Sorority chapter and The Ladies of the Elks. She loved music and played several instruments-trombone in high school band where she was also a cheerleader. She also played harmonica, organ and piano. As a young girl of 11 and 12 she played the organ for the congregation in a small country church. She was a Sunday school teacher, a Leader of Campfire Girls and school and church volunteer.
Besides music, she loved dancing which she began at 10 years old, various kinds of needle work, travel and playing bridge and other card games. Special times were taking trips with the family all together; Don, their children and grandchildren. She loved her pets, dogs and cats.
She is survived by two children, Sherry Marie Ritchart and Kenneth Donald Ritchart, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Hazel and Gayle, brothers Carl and Tom and her parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Crist Mortuary from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 685 Inca Parkway, Boulder, CO. Interment will follow at Green Mountain Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be given to Atonement Lutheran Church or the American Diabetes Association.
