

Lynn Hansen Stewart, 84 years old, passed away in his home on July 26, 2015 in Boulder, CO. He was born June 12, 1931 to Orla Madison Stewart and JennoV’ (Hansen) Stewart in Palmyra, UT. On April 6, 1953, he married Joan Adams of Parowan, UT and were sealed together in marriage in the Manti Temple in Manti, UT. After high school he attended Brigham Young University and later received a degree in Engineering from the Central Technical Institute in Kansas City, MO. After school, Lynn was employed at The Martin Company in Denver, CO. Lynn served in the Korean war as a sergeant in the 145th field artillery division. Lynn enjoyed the outdoors, serving in the Boy Scout program, serving in his many church callings and going to the family’s lot in Grand Lake with his wife, his girls and grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; his two daughters, Debra Lyn (Stewart) McKay (Timothy J. McKay) of Ludington, MI and Teri Alison (Stewart) Gardner (Gene H. Gardner) of Fort Lupton, CO; five grandchildren, Aaron McKay and Rachel (McKay) Howard of Michigan and Jacob, Sarah and Nicole Gardner of Colorado; and two great grandchildren, Hannah and Brooklyn McKay.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; stepmother Dora (Powell) Stewart; one brother, Bert Stewart; and three sisters, Virginia Ivy, Genevieve Newitt and Ruth Long; and two stepbrothers and three stepsisters.
A service will be held on July 30, 2015 with a viewing at 10:00 a.m., service at 11:00 a.m. and a light lunch to follow at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4655 Table Mesa Dr., Boulder, CO. He will be interred at Mountain View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
