Margaret Alice Glaefke of Lafayette,CO passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021; age 55; loving mother of Devin and Dylan.

Margaret was born in Marietta, Georgia to parents, the late Mr. Lewis Cook and the late Mrs. Alice Cook. They later moved to Mannington, WV where she grew up. She attended college at Fairmont State obtaining her bachelor’s degree in education. She worked in Florida in the public school system teaching first and second grade. She was nominated for teacher of the year during her time there. She later moved to Boulder, CO to advance her career in teaching.

She was known for her truly infectious laugh and an incredible twinkle in her eyes especially when she talked about her boys. She shared her love of cooking with her sons along with her sense of adventure and love of travel.

Margaret is survived by her sons, Devin Glaefke and Dylan Glaefke; siblings, Kerry Cook, Marshall Cook, Patricia Hoffman, Steven Cook, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.

Margaret is reunited with her beloved parents Lewis and Alice Cook along with three of her siblings; Michael Cook, Kristine Foxworth and David Cook and one niece Kathleen Foxworth.

She was always trying to be a great supporter to me, and me to her,
but I hadn't heard from her lately,

I didn't hang out with her in school but did have classes with her. She was very sweet, kind, caring person. All through school she always took time talk to me. Then years later, I saw her in Mannington and it was like we never stopped talking to each other. I always consider her my friend. RIP Margie.
