Robinson in Arlington, MA, to Mabel and William Robinson. She lived in Arlington, MA and NH
as a child and graduated from Arlington High School.
Marge married Albert Munro during a hurricane in 1954. Marge and Al had five children; John,
Andrea, Paul, Christine and Seth. They lived in MA and R.I. before moving to Syracuse N.Y. in
1966. She was a Potters Guild member and a wood sculptor. Marge stayed home when the
kids were young, with part time work at the school. Marge and Al renovated an old boarding
house in Marcellus N.Y., once the children were adults. She enjoyed their Rosehill Bed and
Breakfast. She spent much of her extra time bringing antiques back to life by refinishing,
reupholstering and teaching furniture refinishing. She moved to Waldoboro, ME at age 70,
made friends, swam, volunteered and joined a book club. She moved in with her son Paul in ME
in 2017, then moved to live with her daughter, Chris, in CO in 2019.
Marge is survived by her children, John Munro (HI), Andrea Munro DeLong (N.Y.), Paul Munro
(Donna Munro)(ME), Chris Munro (Tony Cochrane)(CO), her grand children, Stephen Delong,
(Courtney DeLong) Megan Hahn, Justin Delong, Adrian Munro (Amanda Munro), Emily Hickey
(Christopher Hickey) and Claire Philbrook (Micah Philbrook), Nicholas and Lucas Cochrane,
Hope and Peter Munro, and her great grandchildren, Ayli Grace and Ason Munro, Rian and
Andrew DeLong, Emma Trainham, Anica, Clayton, and Marya Hickey, Abel, Lucy and Ruth
Philbrook.
Marge was predeceased by her son, Seth Munro, her siblings, William Robinson, Donald
Robinson, and Lorraine Bowers, and Al Munro.
Marge was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a warm, friendly,
generous woman with a great sense of humor and a twinkle in her eye. She was an avid
reader, Scrabble player, gardener, cook, swimmer, blue glass and hedgehog collector and
birdwatcher. Marge was interested in the world around her and a firm believer in equality, peace
and justice. She was a second mother to many and a kind, caring, devoted friend. Marge will be
missed and remembered fondly by those who knew and loved her.
