Morva Edith Hewitt was born on November 29, 1927, in Denver, CO to Edith and John McCormack. She was the second of their children and grew up in Agate, Colorado.
After high school Morva attended teacher's college in Greeley, Colorado. After completion, Morva began her teaching career in Greeley before returning to teach in her hometown of Agate, Colorado. She had a love of learning and dedicated herself to educating young people.
Morva married the love of her life, Leon "Lefty" Hewitt. Together they moved to Artesia, California, where they managed apartment buildings for many years. After Leon's passing Morva returned to Colorado and settled in Broomfield to be closer to her sisters, Catherine and Joan.
Later, Morva made her home at Gate N Green, where she built many lasting friendships and enjoyed an active social life. She especially treasured her friendship with Bea. Together they shared many wonderful trips, countless laughs, and unforgettable memories, becoming the very best of friends.
As her health declined, Morva moved to Balfour Assisted Living in Louisville, Colorado. After suffering a fall, she was transferred to skilled nursing care where she remained until her passing.
Morva lived a happy, full, and loving life. She will be remembered as a kind generous, fun-loving woman whose warmth touched everyone who knew her.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Though she is no longer with us, the memories of this wonderful lady will remain in our hearts forever.
