Patsy Carol Hernandez,71, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025.Born on July 27, 1954, she grew up in Austin and Amarillo, Texas, before moving to Colorado in the 1970s. In 1986, she married her best friend, Ruben Hernandez, and together they shared 39 wonderful years. She was the proud mother of Nikki (Todd)Neuroth and Cynthia Hernandez, and loving grandmother to Nic Hernandez, Maryann Trisler, and Tee-Jay Neuroth. She is also survived by her three older brothers, Ronnie, Gerry, and Terry Fleming, and their families. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Louise (Finley) and Billy Gene Fleming. From humble beginnings, Patsy worked hard to earn a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s in finance, building a career she was proud of. She served as the County Finance Director for Garfield County and later as the Budget Manager for Clear Creek County, dedicating her work to supporting her communities. Patsy loved her dogs and cats, staying active, spending time with friends, and living life to the fullest. She will be remembered for her sharp mind, quick wit,and love of laughter. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patsy's memory may be made to Planned Parenthood of America.
