Peter Sherman Lester passed away on February 16th, 2020 at his beloved home in the beautiful mountains outside Boulder, Colorado, he was 72 years old. Peter was born in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Bud and Julie Lester. He is survived by six siblings, Peggy Clute, Marjie Brown, Barbara Caines, Jeff Chamberlain, David Chamberlain and Rick Chamberlain. He lived in four different states growing up, moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1969 and remained there for the rest of his life. He attended Hartwick College before heading West to Boulder. At an early age he picked up a hammer and found his passion for wood working. After attending college he made the decision to work full time in renovation. He loved his work and thoroughly enjoyed meeting and getting to know his customers. Peter’s talents were many, he had a very creative and artistic side and it came through in his fine sketches, drawings and sculptures. When he wasn’t fly fishing, one of his favorite activities was to ride his Harley Davidson Motorcycle into the sunny Rocky Mountain cool air with a good friend. Peter was an avid and voracious reader and spent many hours reading and learning about all type of subjects. At this time there are no plans for a memorial service.
