Richard was on born on April 9, 1947 to Leonard Chase and Marcille Ankrom in Auburn, NE. In 1965 he graduated from Ft. Collins High School. Following graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served on the U.S.S. King. He was honorably discharged in 1969. He also served in the 1st Battalion 157th National Guard unit in Boulder. On May 5, 1968 he married Laura Jean Schraeder in Ft. Collins, CO. Lee’s employment included 24 years of service for NeoData/Kable fulfillment. He also worked at Pollard’s as a mechanic.
Lee enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos as well as the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He also enjoyed spending time with his Navy shipmates and fishing. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Laura Jean Chase; children Tina Chase and Richard Chase, Jr.; brother Wayne Chase of Auburn, NE and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Pl., Boulder, CO 80301. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Park, Boulder, CO. Please leave condolences at www.cristmortuary.com .
