Rita was born April 26th, 1936, in San Antonio, Texas to Erasmo and Rita Garza. In 1965, Rita married Douglas L. Sarbach, and together they raised daughter Michelle and sons, Douglas Jr. and Eric.
Rita and her husband loved to travel. From the Mediterranean, Europe, throughout Mexico and the USA, they enjoyed the adventures and experience. They moved often in their many years together making homes throughout the USA.
Rita was a devoted mother and dedicated wife, who tirelessly worked to provide the very best for her family. Her life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to raising her three children and to her selfless service to others. Rita’s faith in God was strong, she loved to pray devotions, say the rosary every day and attend Sunday Mass at community catholic churches where she lived.
Rita is survived by her husband of 59 years, Douglas Lowry Sarbach; daughter, Michelle Scalzo and husband Thomas; two sons, Douglas Jr and Eric; and grandchildren: Chelsea, Haley, George, Eleanor, and Ife.
