Robert Andrew Johnson Jr.

October 21, 1942 – June 7, 2025

Robert “Andy” Johnson, Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 7, 2025. Born in Everett, Washington, Andy spent most of his life in Colorado, where he touched many lives through his career, service, and kindness.

After graduating from South High School in Denver, Andy attended Colorado State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics. He served in the Army following his graduation and went on to dedicate over 40 years to IBM in Boulder, Colorado, starting as a programmer and later becoming a systems analyst.

In 1961, Andy married Vicki Johnson, and together they celebrated 63 years of loving marriage. They raised their children in South Boulder, later moving to Louisville, Colorado, in 1993. Andy and Vicki lived there until relocating to Balfour Senior Living in 2022, and finally to The Gallery Senior Living in 2024.

A dedicated family man, Andy is survived by his wife, Vicki; their children, Scott Johnson (Tracy), Rob Johnson (Kari), and Debbi Dempster (Chris); and grandchildren, Zach Johnson, Katelynn Johnson, Kylor Johnson, Keegan Johnson, Graham Johnson, Blake Ellis, and Brooke Dempster.

Andy was an active member of Ascent Community Church in Louisville, Colorado, volunteering in various capacities at the church, Balfour Senior Living, and The Gallery Senior Living. He also served as a tax aide for AARP and contributed significantly to the Harmony Foundation in Estes Park, Colorado, where he held the positions of president and treasurer.

Andy found joy in golf, motorsports, volunteering, and, most of all, spending time with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Ascent Community Church, 550 McCaslin Blvd., Louisville, CO 80027.
