I'm thinking of you today my dear angel, September 11, when we traditionally gave flowers to each other out of respect for the hero we saw in the other...

Skye was the type of person you couldn't help but love, she made being happy seem like the easiest thing in the world. You couldn't even say her name without smiling and that truth embodied her entire personality; she lit up every room she was in with just her presence. I didn't believe in love at first sight until I met her. the moment I saw her it was like everything fell into place and from that moment we were inseparable. She was the kindest person I'll ever meet and truly had a heart of gold, she loved unconditionally and authentically and all she ever wanted was to help those around her and make the world a better place. It didn't matter if she knew you or not she'd happily give the shirt off her back if someone needed it. Her birthday wish for years was for world peace, and if more people were like her I don't have a single doubt her wish would come true. She was always there when you needed someone to talk to and somehow always knew exactly what to say, she was so intelligent and wise beyond her years. She was so easy to talk to and she had this innate understanding that made you feel like you'd known each other forever and that you could tell her anything. I thank God for the time we had together and know even if we spent the rest of our lives together it still wouldn't of been long enough. She taught me so much and made each day a new adventure we were able to experience together; no matter how mundane the day was or what we were doing. She could make doing laundry or going to the grocery store feel like the best time of my life; and every day we got to spend together was a blessing I will always cherish. She made the bad days good and the good days great. We always knew how to make each other smile and she was truly the love of my life. I wish we had more time together but I'll always thank God for the time we did have. I looked forward to each and every day knowing I got to spend it with her.

I'll always love and miss you but I know you're watching over us all from above still shining your light and love over the world. I'll never forget the good times we had together and will always cherish the memories we made. She brought light to this world and my life that I'd never experienced before. Loving her was like loving the sky itself, feeling the warmth of her light and how she lit up the entire world; the infinite depth of her love and kindness and the unfathomable beauty in her sunrise. But sadly day must always turn to night eventually. And I know once my night comes and the sun rises again I'll be able to bask in the warmth of her light again. She will always be with us and I'll remember her beauty in every sunrise and sunset the sky has to offer. I will always love you and hold you close in my heart Skye. I know you're in a better place where nothing can dim your light and love, and when my time comes I'll be there right by your side again shining brightly with you.

Dear Skye,
I know you didn't want to leave us yet. 
You still had things to do, people to love, dogs to scratch and pet.
Holidays, birthdays, anniversaries to celebrate. 
You wanted the pain to end so you could live.
There's not enough love, support, understanding in this broken world to hold up the struggling ones. Well, sometimes it seems that way.
I see love in the hearts of people like you.
Lighten the world, lighten our lives, lighten the burden, if just for a bit, a millisecond.
Where are you now my girl? Are you all around us or do you have other things to do? My hope is you are here, always, everywhere.

Skye was my first friend when we moved to Colorado. We grew together and apart for many years, but she always treated me like a sister. Whenever we would reconnect it was like time had never passed between us. I love her so much. I'm going to miss her dearly.  Sending all my love to Harmony and Rebecca.

Our memories of Skye go way back to our visit when she was a little girl full of energy in her wild hair days!
We didn’t see her again years later when she came with her mom to our kid’s wedding in Pennsylvania. We have a photo of her with her grandma and aunt at the reception.
Rebecca and boys know we are thinking of you and sending our love.

We will always hold you close in our hearts my little sister. Dear Skye you are free from your earthly burdens now. I love you Skye and will always cherish the memories of you ❤

Skye I didn't even know you but I love you because I see you everytime in the eyes of my Frankie... Skye fly high and do honor to your name! Take care to all your family... You're an Angel now!
