Sonia Christina Hodel, 93, died peacefully on February 2, 2012 with close family members at her side. A Boulder resident since 1955, Sonia was married to Oscar A. Hodel, longtime proprietor of Hodel’s Drug in Basemar Shopping Center, who died in 1979. She was an active member at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church. Sonia is survived by her children, Oscar and Gloria, her grandchildren, Derek, Marc, Lance, Shane, and Sonja, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, brother-in-law Ronald, and extended family. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Crist Mortuary, Boulder, CO.
