I'm so sorry to hear of Bhim's passing from the complications of Covid-19, which i just learned about. Bhim was a very determined and hard worker and I knew he would make a success of his life. I'm sorry i never made it to Boulder to eat at either of his restaurants while he was still alive.   He was taken from this life too soon. My condolences to his family. 

I met Vhim soon after moving to Boulder, Colorado in 1991.  His sisters Usha and Jaya were teaching Nepali dance in preparation for the restaurant opening.  I learned some dances but Vhim was afraid my bushy beard would frighten away the customers.  However, I was hired for a week to help paint the restaurant before it opened.  A week turned into two weeks during which I even built the first tandoori oven in the restaurant.  Two weeks became a year and I came to know my future wife who also ended up working there.  I always say that I my work with Vhim was the hardest I have worked and the most rewarding.  I am grateful to have know Vhim and will miss him.  My best wishes to you all.  Love Joshua

I was so sorry to hear of Vhim's passing. I feel blessed to have known Vhim for many years and have many sweet memories to hold onto. Mostly, I will remember Vhim's eyes--they twinkled when he talked and laughed and listened. Such expressive eyes--the window to his soul.

So sorry to hear of Vhim's death. It was too soon. Such an energetic, creative force in our community, a kind, generous man who will be sorely missed. I'll never forget the trip to his home village in Nepal he organized for new American friends soon after coming to America. He made it work despite all the roadblocks, just as he made his restaurants work. Joe and I know how much his family meant to him and hold you in our hearts as we share your grief.
