Virginia A Fassler

Community in Boulder, Colorado. Virginia was born in Leadville, Colorado

on April 9, 1923 to James and Lena Bertolas Sperandio. She attended

schools in Lake County, where she graduated from Lake County High School.

After graduation, Virginia married William Colley and moved to Boulder. In

Boulder, she began a long and successful career in the Office of the

Registrar at the University of Colorado. Mr. Colley preceded her in death.

She then married Eugene Fassler. They traveled extensively and had a

great passion for fishing and gardening. Virginia loved people and

embraced the diversity of those she met through her work at CU. She had

many life long friends, whom she cherished.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, cousins

Alberta Mitchell and Ramona Baldessari, and many beloved pets. Survivors

include cousins Ellie (Mario) Pasquale, Newport Beach, CA; Doug(Terri)

Pasquale, Newport Beach, CA; Mark (Chi Chi) Pasquale, Shanghai, China;

Maureen Pasquale, Highlands Ranch, CO; Mario (Shellanne) Pasquale,

Golden, CO; Brenna Marques, Salida, CO; Lorene (Rod) Farney, Salida, CO;

and Marla (Steve) Lucero, Pueblo, CO.

Funeral services are set for Friday, May 27th, 11:00 a.m. at Crist Mortuary,

3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, Colorado, interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park 3016 Kalmia Ave. Boulder.

Memorial contributions can be made to Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado or the Humane Society of

Boulder Valley. Arrangements under the direction of Crist Mortuary, Boulder, CO.
