is survived by his first

Iowa City, Iowa his sister
Martha White and her
husband Howard White
of Longmont, CO, his
daughter Madonna Ann
Alps and her husband
Clifford Alps of
Longmont, CO and his
daughter Rose Mary
Skold and fiancé Edward
Woodard Jr. of
Lawrenceville, GA and
granddaughter Rebekah
Jacobsen of Denver, CO.
Walter worked at the
University of Colorado
after his retirement in
1980. He enjoyed
traveling and gardening,
which included growing
raspberries and
sunflowers that grew to
over 7ft tall.
Mass of Christian
Burial will be held at St.
John the Baptist Catholic
Church, 323 Collyer
Street, Longmont, CO on
Monday, September 24,
2012 at 10AM with
visitation one hour prior.
