

Bill was born on November 27, 1930, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Peter Brown and Ella (Hanson) Brown, the 6th of 7 children. Bill lived a full and meaningful life defined by love, service, and dedication to his family, career, and community.
After graduating high school, Bill served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Upon returning home, he pursued his education at the University of Minnesota, where he studied engineering. This led to a long and successful career with IBM, where he worked for over 30 years.
Bill was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Mary (Marilou) Buehler Brown, with whom he shared nearly 70 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family that was always at the center of his life. He was a proud and caring father to Missy Colaprete (Steve), the late Peter Brown (Ismael Barba), Michael Brown, Elizabeth Patterson, and Patrick Brown (Tracy).
His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Drew Brown (Eden Cohen), Abby Kreckman (Nate), Zach Colaprete (Salana), Kendall Kappler (Walter), Christian Colaprete, Delaney Margaretten (Tyler), Jake Brown, Cooper Brown, and Ryan Brown. Bill was also blessed with great-grandchildren Lucy Kreckman, Ruby Kappler, and Sam Kreckman, who brought him endless joy. Other loving survivors include Barb Brown, Phil Patterson, Kim McGrew and many nieces and nephews.
Bill will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones. He enjoyed solving problems, whether in his professional career or through helping family and friends. He had a sharp wit, a love for reading, learning, playing cards, travel and anything that included being with his family.
A Celebration of Bill's life will be held on April 19, 2025. Details to come at a later time. Condolences may be sent to Marilou at The Gallery, 1450 W. 169th Ave., Broomfield, CO 80023. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, reflecting his generous spirit and desire to help others.
Bill's kindness, wisdom, and Jove will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
