I met Albert when I went to work for the Solon PD in 1965. We moved away from Ohio in 1970, and as we moved following the job market, I was able to keep track of Albert as he continued to show his extraordinary ability to be a successful entrepreneur.
During the Solon PD days, Albert taught me valuable life lessons that followed me throughout my entire working career. He taught me about maintaining a genuine, pleasant, outgoing demeanor, being a “can do” person no matter what the task or obstacle might be, maintaining a balance with work and family, believing in people, being honest in any dealings, and how dedication and commitment to your job and family always pays off.
Albert was a “one of a kind” person, who was a mentor to anyone who knew him. He always left people with a positive experience – and you always knew where you stood with him. He was friendly, outgoing, sincere, and genuine. And he was humble about his success.
For those of you that knew or worked for Albert, there is no doubt your life is better because of that experience. He made a positive impact on everyone he touched. He will be missed! God bless him and his family.

Thoughts and prayers to the Zirkelbach family from the O'Connell family. I met Al in my first few weeks in the marine business when he visited us up at Marpac in Everett, Washington. 30 years later, his legacy lives on with his family, his business, and the great team of people he led. That Aldon/Ameritex team is as good as it gets, and it is a testament to a great man and leader to leave a legacy like that for the next generation...and the carry on.

Albert, you will always have a special place in my heart...28 years ago you took a chance on my husband Brian, opened your heart and your home to Brian, James and myself and treated us like family when we moved thousands of miles away from ours. I will always be grateful to you for playing such an important role in my families future. Your huge heart and compassion for others will never be forgotten. You were one of a kind, and will be missed tremendously. You will always live in our thoughts and prayers.
