Born in Ohio in 1921, she moved here in 1978 from Middlefield, Ohio. Alta was a loving wife to Ben. S. Hostetler. She was a homemaker, and loved cooking and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a member of the Ashton Mennonite Church.
Alta is survived by her husband Ben; two sons, William Henry Hostetler and Thomas Ray Hostetler; one daughter, Sara A. Mace; four brothers, Paul S. Yoder, Simon Yoder, Jr., Willie A. Yoder and Ray S. Yoder; one sister, Sara Gingerich; three grandchildren, Eric W. Gunn, Erica Hostetler and Thomas J. Hostetler; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Albert S. Yoder and Roman S. Yoder.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon– 2:00 PM, with Funeral Services at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Manasota Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Avenue, East in Bradenton, Florida.
