Funeral services for Alyssa Dawn Varner will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Palm View First Baptist Church in Palmetto with Rev. Jimmy Wayne Miller officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, July 20, at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park in Bradenton and again on Saturday at Palm View First Baptist Church one hour prior to service time.
Alyssa was born on August 28, 1993 in Bradenton where she was reared. She lost her battle with Epilepsy on July 13, 2018 at her home in Myakka City. Alyssa was 24 years old. She adored her family and loved to be with them. She had a big love for music, her friends, and working at Dunkin Donuts. Alyssa was the bright light that shined on us all. Her laugh was infectious, her eyes were stunning, and her love for everyone was never ending. She will be so deeply missed and she is so deeply loved.
Alyssa is survived by her parents, David and Melissa Howell of Myakka City; two brothers, Justin Varner of Augusta, GA and Nathan Varner of Chester, SC; sister, Macey Reynolds (Brandon Wathen) of Bradenton; niece, Catherine Varner of Stockbridge, GA; nephew, Alistair Varner of Chester, SC, and her Grandfather Richard C Miller; along with a host of many cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles, and a lot of really great friends. Alyssa is also survived by her sweet cat, Porkchop, of ten years.

Immediately following the funeral service, a Celebration of Life will be held from 12 until 4 p.m. at the VFW, Post 2488, 810 6th Street West, Palmetto, Florida 34221, where all are invited to attend.
