Barbara Jo Demerle, 74, passed away on Monday, April 12, at her home in Bradenton. She was born in Cincinnati, OH on January 10, 1947 to Francis and Netta Blake Demerle. She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Seton High School.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 25, from 12 p.m. until service time at 1:30 p.m. at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Manasota Memorial Park.
During her career, she worked through three stages of cable television - Paragon, Time Warner, and Bright House. Barbara was very family oriented, a great cook, and holiday decorator.
Those left behind to cherish her memory will remember her as a loving, caring, giving, and crafty person. She is survived by her children, Gerald Gerth (Debra), Mark Gerth, and Jodi Williams; grandchildren, Terresa Gerth, Danielle Craven (Shane), Gerald C. Gerth, and Mariah Stanley; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Avery Craven, Dimerly Gerth, and Amir Choates; and sister, Verna Dwyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father of her children, Gerald R. Gerth; two sons, Christopher Gerth and Kenneth Gerth; granddaughter, Nyalise Luciano; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Augusta Demerle; and brother-in-law, Daniel Dwyer.
