Barbara retired from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Department after 21 years of service as a Records Clerk. While at the Sheriff’s Department she received many commendations, including an Employee of the Month Commendation for outstanding service in the performance of duty in June 1997 and Deputy of the Month Commendation for outstanding service in the performance of duty for solving a crime in February 1990.
She is survived by her loving children Gregory S. Agen (Harriet), Michael J. Myhalyk III and Tracy L. Myhalyk; her two older sisters, Madelene ‘Dolly’ Myers and Dorothy S. Alair; her younger brother, Roger W. Schopp; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many cherished friends and memories at Palm Lake Estates. She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence ‘Schoppe’ and Madelene Schopp.
A Memorial Service will be held later so her family and many friends may attend.
