Dear Mother, my beautiful Mother, Belle Marie,
I love you so much, and I am so grateful and honored that God chose you to be my mother. You are the most wonderful, compassionate, loving, and selfless mother anyone could ever dream of having.
Now you are in Heaven, reunited with Walter, your beloved mother and father, Grandma and Grandpa, your eleven brothers and three sisters, and all of our loved ones who went before you. I know you are finally at perfect peace, surrounded by God's eternal love.
Mom, I want you to know that I will keep every promise I made to you during the nearly six years that I had the privilege of caring for you in your home. I will honor your wishes, follow your advice, and carry forward the values you spent your life teaching me.
You have always been a beautiful soul—not only now in Heaven, but throughout your entire life on Earth. Your kindness, your compassion, your generosity, and your love touched so many people. From the time I was a child until today, I watched you help others without expecting anything in return. You always gave more than you ever received.
You opened your heart and your home to neighbors, friends, and anyone who needed a warm meal, comforting words, or simply someone to listen. Your life was a living example of love in action. I have always admired you for that, and I have tried to learn from your example every day of my life.
Dear Lord, I ask that You watch over my beautiful mother with Your endless mercy and love. If it is Your will, I ask that You allow her loving spirit to watch over the children of the world. You know better than anyone how deeply she loved children and wanted every child to feel safe, loved, and protected.
Mom, I also promise you that I will look after your only surviving sister, my Aunt Linda. I know how much you love her, and I will do my best to honor that love.
There are simply not enough words to describe how much I love you or how much I already miss you. Every day and every evening I will think of you, pray for you, and talk to you.
I will keep my promise to attend Mass more often, to spend time in God's house, and to light candles in your memory.
Please, Mom, if God allows, send me little signs from Heaven. I will keep my heart open and be watching, knowing that one day, when God calls me home, we will be together again with all of our family and loved ones in His everlasting Kingdom.
You endured so much throughout your life, especially during these last years. Yet through every hardship, every pain, and every challenge, you remained strong, courageous, and loving.
You always greeted people with a warm smile, open arms, and a generous heart. That strength and kindness inspired me every day.
To me, the name Belle Marie will always mean Pure Love.
I love you more than words can ever express. I miss you already beyond measure, and I always will.
Until we meet again, may God hold you close in His loving embrace.
Your loving firstborn son,
Robert ("Bobby") Nash
