OBITUARY

Bonita "Bonnie" M Norris

April 15, 1942July 10, 2018

Bonita “ Bonnie” M, Norris, of Bradenton passed away Tuesday July 10, 2018 at the age of 76, she was born April 15, 1942 in Charlotte MI.

Bonnie Norris grew up in Charlotte MI as Bonita (Bonnie) Mae Peltier. She was raised on the family farm as the oldest child with her 2 sisters Charlotte and Sue and brother Jerry. After High School she became a Secretary for the Navy where she would meet her future husband John C. Norris. They were soon married and started a family. She had 2 girls Tracy and Stacy while traveling and living in many countries during Johns extensive 21 year Tour of Duty. John developed MS and Bonnie became his primary care giver for the next 20 years. She was always willing to help any family member with no regard to her own happiness. After John’s death she was able to resume her passion for bowling; where she would eventually meet the second love of her life Richard Entenmann. She was hesitant to start dating, but Richard was patient and persistent. They eventually became constant companions and eventually moved in together. She loved almost any type of arts and crafts and was always making something; whether it was sewing or wood working, she loved to be busy with a project. The holiday season was her favorite time of the year when the entire extended family would all get together at her house. It’s impossible to summarize ones’ life in a paragraph or sentence; but one thing that surely can be said about her is that no-one could find anything but complements to say about Bonnie Norris.

She is survived by her Mother Margaret Peltier; daughters Tracy Whitlock and Stacy Norris, Loving Fiancée Richard Entenmann, son-in-law Larry Whitlock. Grandchildren; William Binion, Marina Greene, Parker and Tyler Whitlock, Carmen and Hazel Laboy. Great Grandchildren Bri-Anna and Natallie Newman, Damien Binion, Tripp Schmitt, Lillyn and John Binion and Peyten Proper. She is preceded in death by her Father Gordon Peltier, Husband John C. Norris and Sister Charlotte Wright. Gathering will be held on July 29, 2018 from 12pm to 1pm at the Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home 1221 53rd Ave E, Bradenton Florida, Memorial Service will follow at 1pm, burial will be in Manasota Memorial Park.

When I think of Bonnie I think of happiness. She was kind and extremely thoughtful. She was a great friend to my grandparents, bowling for many years with my grandmother, they loved her. She became a friend of mine through them. After my grandparents passed on, Bonnie continued the tradition that my grandparents had started years before by sending a box of Mixon grapefruit and oranges to us at Christmas. Living in Maryland in the dead of winter, having that box of fresh fabulous fruit is quite a treat. It's hard to put into words the feelings I felt that first Christmas when I got home from work and saw the fruit on our porch. I knew that grandpa and grandma had not sent it. And then I saw the return address and I was overwhelmed. To many it may seem a small thing, but to me it was everything. Bonnie was unique and everyone that knew her were blessed and fortunate. I loved her. I will miss her forever. I won't physically be at the services on Sunday, but I will be there in spirit. Richard, my friend, you will stay in my prayers.
