Carl passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026. He spent his life in Bradenton, where he built a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and friendship. Carl attended Manatee High School and graduated in 1962. On July 7, 1964, he married the love of his life, Rossie Lee Allen, beginning a devoted marriage filled with love and family.
Carl was a proud and loving father to Susan, Amy, Carl III, and Kimberly. He was also blessed with 12 grandchildren: Misty, Michael, Christopher, Jessica, Travis, Sabrina, Rossie, Corina, Camea, Jamie, Clara, and Gene, as well as 23 great-grandchildren who brought him tremendous joy. He is survived by his brother, David. Waiting to welcome him in Heaven are his sisters, Doris, Christine, and Rose. The family would also like to lovingly recognize Rick and Kris, who became informally adopted members of the family and held a special place in Carl’s heart. Throughout his life, Carl worked in many professions, but commercial fishing was always his true passion. He loved spending time fishing, playing billiards, bowling, and enjoying sports with his children. More than anything, Carl cherished the time he spent with family and friends.
Carl was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a caring Christian man who never hesitated to help anyone in need. His kindness, generosity, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends. A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date
