She was born on September 10, 1939 in Hudson, New York.
Mrs. Yancey is survived by her;
Son, Johnny W. Fischer
DIL, Rebecca L. Fischer (The daughter she never had but always loved and prayed for)
Granddaughters, Jessica L., Jenney L. & Jade R.
Grandsons, Brian D. & Sam E.
9 Great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Davis;
And her only other Beloved son, E. Paul Fischer who was lost to a Brain Aneurysm @ age 52 in 2013. RIP
Mrs. Yancey was a resident of the Manasota area since 1976.
In the height of her professional career she managed upper to high scale hotels & restaurants half way across America.
At one time she was offered a Corporate Executives position but turned it down so she could be with her boys at home and not on the road 24/7.
She always enjoyed bringing joy to others and seeing a smile on their faces.
Even while struggling as a woman with 2 small boys in a man’s world of yesteryear she managed to rise up the corporate ladder quite quickly all the while raising her sons and managing a hotel & restaurant at the same time.
In her younger years she loved to take her boys to amusement parks, fishing trips to the lake, watch their sports activities cheering them on, encourage them to be whatever they wanted to be but it required hard work because nothing is free in life.
Her later Florida days consisted of working part time in a friendly family Ellenton, FL diner where everybody loved her warm welcoming pleasant smile.
She also enjoyed walks on the beaches or just strolling through the flea markets enjoying the day.
Her all-time favorite hobby for many years were her parrots.
Her feathery little friends brought as much joy to her as her furry little friend Molly.
Mom was a simple woman with the upbringing and elegance of a Royal Lady and taught us to live with integrity.
Mom was also a strong willed, stubborn woman whom we will deeply miss, cherish and love with ALL our hearts for All Eternity.
Oh Mom,
How the years flew by, where did all the time go?
As my heart wrenches from sadness and the tears continue to flow from the loss of your passing but I have to hold firm in my faith that our Lord Jesus will call all us forth one glorious day and march us right into heaven where God will reunite the faithful once again.
Even with this in mind, my heart continues to weep for the loss of my best friend and dear mom.
The 1 person in this world I could tell anything to and still never be judged but unconditionally loved for all eternity.
I can only continue to pray that our dear Lord & Savior will ease all of our pains and sufferings from your passing as time passes on.
Until then my beautiful, beloved, dear mom, may your soul be at peace and rest assure our Lord & Savior shall deliver all whom have willing accepted Him, have faith and have asked for forgiveness of their sins in His name.
In Jesus name we pray,
AMEN!
My heart will weep and I will forever miss you with every passing moment we’re separated.
I Love you SO SO SO much mom and will keep you in my heart and prayers for all eternity to come.
Your Loving Son,
Johnny
