On Friday, August 8, 2025, at the age of 81, Daphne Loretta Morris left her earthly home and entered the glorious presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While our hearts grieve the loss of her gentle presence, we rejoice knowing she is now free from all pain and sorrow, rejoicing in Heaven alongside her husband Harold and her Heavenly Father.
Born in Parrish, Florida in 1944, Daphne AKA “Daffy”, lived a life marked by faith, warmth, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to her family. She was a born-again Christian who never passed up the opportunity to profess her faith and tell people about her Jesus. Our mother also had the heart of a “true caregiver” and loved to check in on her neighbors, cooking for them regularly. When her neighbors started to have health struggles, she never hesitated to go see them, no matter if it put her at risk, and bring them love and good food. That was our mother. She modeled the Love of Christ in the way she cared for her children, grandchildren and all who were blessed to know her. She dearly loved her three children, Tim, Amy and Jeff and their spouses. Daphne also thoroughly adored her 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She proudly wore the title of “Great Grannie”.
She loved her church family and faithfully served wherever she was needed. Our mother believed in the promise of John 14: 2-3, trusting that Jesus had prepared a place for her, and that one day He would call her home. That promise has now been fulfilled. At the time of her passing our mother entered Heaven’s gates very peacefully with barely a whisper surrounded by family.
Daphne is survived by her daughter Amy, and sons Jeffrey and Timothy. She is also survived by her beloved twin sister, Raffie, and two siblings Jan and Linda. Daphne is predeceased by her parents Albert and Fannie and her siblings Jean and Gettis.
Daphne’s family will host a celebration of life service on Friday August 22, 2025, at West Bradenton Baptist Church. Visitation at 11am, with service at 11:30am. Burial will be immediately following at Manasota Memorial Park Oneco, Florida.
The family invites visitors to stop by the church, West Bradenton Baptist, for a reception immediately following burial.
